As caregivers sometimes we lie. Sometimes we even convince ourselves that we know what’s best. But mostly we just hang on until our fingers bleed.
To be a caregiver is to be a juggler, a fortune teller and a ringleader. Could anything be more all consuming than to try to manage a situation that is outside your control?
There is much to be said of the adage “let go and let God”.
I haven’t posted much lately because I am so fatigued, burnt out, depressed and foggy. My thoughts are not clear so that makes it hard write. I’m hoping that will change soon.
I had wanted this blog to be a gathering place for mucosal melanoma caregivers to gather and share their struggles. That didn’t happen and I have only documented my pains. I no longer care about what should have been. I need to talk about the grief and loss I feel. I invite you to comment on your caregiving struggles.
Carers need love too!❤️
