what can i say?

Amy has yet again another infection.
Surgeon returned her call at 830pm. Ordered more drugs and admitted the surgery from last week won’t solve the infection issue. It’s outta his wheelhouse to fix it.
sigh…big sigh…

Monday we meet with oncology surgeons to discuss options. They will likely need to take healthy tissue from her leg and use it to close the fistula that is the likely cause of infections. Amy admitted today that infections will continue until that happens. She had everyone convinced that infections would stop after last surgery. I knew differently but what can I say. I know nothing. It’s very frustrating for me.
how quickly will they do the fix? Who knows. Could be weeks. Could be months. From what we know it will be an open belly surgery which means an extended recovery. I worry about what they’ll find once they get in there.
