Jealousy

How did it happen that I’ve become jealous of those that are able to travel, go to the beach or walk in the mountains? I always loved hearing people’s travel stories but in the last few months I get bitter when I hear someone is having fun or even planning to have fun.

We are stuck close to home as we wait for Amy’s next surgery to be booked. She can’t go in water, has limited energy but she tries so hard and desperately wants to get out there. We’re trying to make the most of what we’ve got but having major cancer issues thru Covid and now dealing with the side effects means we are still isolated and limited in what we can do.

We’re lonely.

People say the most asinine things like “ it’s a new normal”. It’s not normal. Our life is far from normal. Hopefully, one day soon, the surgeries and infections will stop then we can think about adjusting to new normal.
